A Direction in Mind
Doesn't Always Mean the Best Path Forward

You don't need someone to make the decision for you. You need confidence that you're making the right decision for the right reasons.

Let's Talk It Through

Strategic Thinking Applied to Real Business Decisions

Looking Beyond the Initial Request

An established business believed it needed a better operational tracking process. Through evaluation of workflows and information needs, the discussion evolved into a broader operational visibility solution designed to support management decision-making and future growth.

Evaluating an Expansion Opportunity

A business owner was considering a significant expansion opportunity. Through financial modeling, assumption testing, and risk evaluation, the discussion helped determine whether the opportunity aligned with long-term business goals.

Seeing the Business Through Someone Else's Eyes

A service-based business owner was focused on solving internal operational challenges. By evaluating the situation through the experience of customers and other stakeholders, the discussion revealed opportunities that may not have been visible from the inside alone.

Strategic Thinking in Practice

Business owners often have a direction in mind when evaluating an opportunity, challenge, or important decision.

An outside perspective can help uncover assumptions, identify alternatives, and reveal considerations that may not be immediately visible from inside the business.

Those conversations often involve growth decisions, operational challenges, organizational change, customer experience, technology investments, and evaluating new opportunities.

These examples illustrate situations where a broader evaluation led to greater clarity, stronger decisions, and a better understanding of the path forward.

This work is often most valuable when a business has reached a point where growth, people, processes, technology, and customer expectations are all influencing one another, making decisions less straightforward than they once were.

I've found that people often start with a solution in mind.

Becoming attached to a solution too early can make it difficult to see alternatives, unintended consequences, or opportunities that might otherwise go unnoticed.

That's why one of the things I enjoy most is helping people step back, clarify what they're actually trying to accomplish, and pressure test whether the proposed path will achieve the desired outcome.

One of my strengths is looking at a decision from multiple perspectives.

What is the owner trying to accomplish?

What will the customer experience?

What will employees, vendors, or other stakeholders experience?

Often the best insights come from seeing where those perspectives align, or where they don't.

How I Think

A Broader Perspective

My career has spanned technology, operations, financial services, business strategy, and organizational leadership.

Working across those disciplines taught me that the best decisions are rarely made from a single perspective.

One of the things I enjoy most is helping business owners step back, clarify objectives, and evaluate important decisions from multiple angles before moving forward.

Let's Talk It Through

I enjoy working with a small number of business owners and leadership teams where I can make a meaningful contribution.

If you're facing an important decision, opportunity, challenge, or transition and would like an outside perspective, I'd be happy to connect.
